Why You Should Consider One Of These For Your Next Family Party

A family get together is always something to forwards to. This is the moment when people get updated about their loved ones, new memories are made, and the old memories are rekindled. There’s always something unexpected happening, whether it’s a happy thing, or a shocking thing; well that depends on the situation. But organizing a family party; well, that something completely different.

If you haven’t actually attempted to do it before, it can feel very intimidating. It can feel like there’s so much to do; and since you don’t really “invite” your family members, there’s no “guest control” when it comes to the guest list. And that alone can be a problem when you have to feed the crowd and arrange for the decorations. But a bonfire themed family party, will make life a lot easier for you. Here’s why.

The food for the party/get together

Organizing the food is the hardest part in any party. Feeding a family party, especially, is complicated, because you need to ensure that both kids and adults alike will like the food and enjoy it with cheap catering price. Having a bon fire themed party can make arranging the food a breeze. If you can find a spit roast hire, then it makes things easier. And the smell of roasting meat will get your family in the party mode in a breeze. Not possible? No problem! Make it a BBQ party instead—the potluck kind. Include a “s’mores bar” to your food list, and everyone’s happy.

The entertainment

Having a bon fire themed party has more advantages than simply being able to get a spit roast hire in Canberra or a s’mores bar. Entertainment is hardly a problem. The feeling of “camping” that the bon fire brings; this alone can help you keep your guests entertained. No doubt, someone will pull out a guitar, and the songs will start. Beyond this, there’s something about the light of the bon fire that makes any game, even something silly like “pass the parcel”, more interesting, and definitely more funny. The bon fire is a good setting for a game of charades as well.

The decorations for the party

For us, the biggest plus for a bon fire themed family party, is the decoration—or the lack of it. No one expects your back garden to be spic and span. And the minimum of decorations will do quite well. A few fairy lights hung on the bushes and the trees will give additional light for the party (apart from the fire, that is). A few hay stacks (if you can find it), stacked together will make a perfect table, and also seating arrangements for those too fussy to sit on the grass. If you do decide to have this theme for your party, then we hope you have fun, enjoy the fire and most of all, make a lot of lovely memories!
